Thieves steal donation box from Queens temple

It was reported to police that on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 0044hrs, two unidentified individuals jumped over a fence and entered the grounds of the Wat Buddha Thai Thavorn Varanam Temple located at 76-16 46th Avenue

NEW YORK, NY – A pair of thieves broke into the Wat Buddha Thai THavorn Varanam Temple in Queens on Saturday and left with the temple’s donation box.

Police said that around 1 am on Saturday, the two unidentified suspects jumped over the fence and forced their way into the temple. Using bolt cutters, they removed the temple’s donation box and hoisted it over the fence before fleeing in an unknown direction with it.

The two suspects were caught on camera outside the temple.
