Police investigating shooting death of 41-year-old in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot and killed last night in Southeast, D.C. The shooting happened shortly before 11 pm last night.

The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting. At 10:50 pm, police arrived at the 800 Block of Chesapeake Street to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

41-year-old Antonio Woodson of Maryland was identified as the victim.
