WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday afternoon in Southeast D.C. Detectives are asking for help identifying the suspect and vehicle involved in the shooting.
Just before 4:30 pm, police from the sixth district arrived at the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate a shooting report. At the location, police found an adult man that had been shot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The identity and current condition of the victim have not been released at this time.
According to investigators, “The suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, is described as a red 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander displaying Virginia Tags TXE 1574.”
