COLUMBIA, MD – Detectives with the Howard County Poice Department are investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning.
Just after midnight, at around 12:30 am, police were dispatched to the area of Governor Warfield Parkway and Chestnut Park Lane for a report of shots fired.
Once at the scene, police located an unidentified male suspect with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He was listed as being in stable condition.
Police do not believe the shooting was random; the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-313-STOP.
