Shooting leaves one dead in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Police in Jersey City are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night in the area of 2 Bergen Avenue.

According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit, a 34-year-old male was shot and killed at around 10:20 pm.

Police arrived at the scene to find Tyreef Robinson, 34, with a gunshot wound to the torso. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken to the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine cause of death.

No suspects have been identified. No arrests have been made.
