Brooklyn man shot Friday night died at hospital

NEW YORK, NY – A Brooklyn man who was shot in the chest near the Trio Apartments on 174th Street has succumbed to his injuries.

Police said 33-year-old Trevor Roberts was taken by EMS to Jacobi Hospital with a single gunshot wound to the chest after he was found by police at 1690 East 174th Street in the Bronx.

The NYPD reported to a 911 call regarding a man shot in the area at around 3 pm.

Roberts, of East New York Avenue in Brooklyn, was later pronounced deceased.
