NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating an execution-style murder that occurred Sunday night in Harlem.
The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect in connection with the murder.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of the 28 Precinct on Lenox Avenue, and police are urging anyone who recognizes the individual to come forward.
According to the NYPD, the victim, a 36-year-old male, was involved in a dispute with an unknown male individual inside of 304 Lenox Avenue at approximately 7:48 pm. As the victim attempted to exit the location, the suspect brandished a firearm and fired a single round, striking the victim in the head and causing him to fall to the ground.
The suspect then fired a second shot into the victim’s head as he lay on the ground before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced deceased.
