PGPD Arrests Suspect in College Park Carjacking

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department has arrested 20-year-old Juwon Anderson of Washington, DC, in connection with a recent carjacking in College Park.

On Wednesday, officers observed the a vehicle that appeared to be the recently carjacked vehicle near Towne Park Boulevard in Suitland.

The owner of the car had been carjacked at gunpoint earlier that day in College Park. Anderson, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was arrested, and a loaded handgun was recovered from the car.

He faces charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and firearm offenses and is currently in the Department of Corrections. Detectives are urging anyone with information relevant to this case to contact them at 301-516-3788.
