NEW YORK CITY, NY – Police have announced an arrest in a gruesome stabbing of a man inside a Manhattan juice bar last week.

On April 12, a 39-year-old male victim was working at Juice Island, located at 1025 Third Avenue, when a female suspect, Chala Jamison, engaged in a verbal dispute with him. Jamison then picked up a knife from the counter and stabbed the victim multiple times in the head, neck, back, and hands.

She fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on East 61st Street. The victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition.

Following an ongoing investigation, 23-year-old Chala Jamison was arrested and charged with attempted murder and burglary in connection to the incident. The NYPD is still asking for the public’s assistance in providing any additional information related to the case.
