Catalytic Converter Thieves Strike in the Bronx

NEW YORK CITY – On Saturday, April 8, 2023, at approximately 6:16 a.m., two unknown individuals were involved in a grand larceny incident within the 49 Precinct’s jurisdiction. The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects depicted in the attached media.

According to the police report, the two suspects exited a vehicle at 1568 Stillwell Avenue, leaving an unknown driver inside the vehicle. The individuals proceeded to approach commercial vehicles and removed five catalytic converters without permission.

The suspects then fled southbound on Stillwell Avenue in the same vehicle they arrived in.

The first suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’0”, weighing around 240 pounds, and last seen wearing all blue clothing. The second suspect is described as a male, also approximately 6’0”, weighing around 220 pounds, and last seen wearing all black clothing.
