79-year-old man robbed in Queens by scooter bandits

NEW YORK CITY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public help in identifying two individuals involved in a robbery within the boundaries of the 110 Precinct. The incident took place last Thursday, May 4, 2023, around 7:15 pm.

A 79-year-old man was walking near 40-52 75 Street when he was approached by two unknown males, one from the front and the other from behind.

The duo pinned him against a wall and forcibly removed his Rolex watch, valued at approximately $5,000. They tried but failed to take the victim’s bracelet and fled the scene on a scooter, heading northbound on 75 Street towards Broadway. The victim sustained minor wrist injuries and declined medical attention.
