OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the human remains found on April 9, 2023, in Plumstead Township. The remains have been confirmed to be those of 37-year-old Joseph Izquierdo of Egg Harbor.
The Plumsted Township Police Department found the remains, in advanced stages of decomposition, in a wooded area approximately a quarter-mile from Route 528.
As of Wednesday, the cause and manner of Izquierdo’s death remain under investigation.
