Police seek Memorial Day Weekend subway attack er

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is calling for public help in identifying an individual involved in an assault that occurred within the 50 Precinct. The incident transpired on Saturday, at around 8:30 am on a MTA ‘1’ train, in the vicinity of Broadway and West 242 Street.

The suspect, described as a male with a light complexion and braids, engaged in a verbal altercation with a 58-year-old male before brandishing a knife and slashing the victim twice in his hand. The perpetrator fled the train station, while the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The NYPD has encouraged anyone with relevant information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or the CrimeStoppers website.
