PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – A 44-year-old man, Marcus Braxton Sr., is facing murder charges for the fatal stabbing of his son. On Saturday, around 8:30 AM, police officers discovered 22-year-old Melodias Scindian suffering from stab wounds at a residence in Suitland. Scindian succumbed to his injuries at a hospital shortly afterward. The initial investigation suggests that Braxton stabbed his son during a dispute, then fled the scene. He was taken into custody about four hours later.
Now Braxton, a resident of Washington, DC, faces charges of first and second-degree murder. The Department of Corrections currently holds him.
