Utica Man Arrested for Multiple Groping Incidents

UTICA, NY – On Tuesday morning, the Utica Police Department began receiving reports of a male forcibly touching female victims in the downtown area. After approaching the victims, the suspect proceeded to inappropriately touch them.

In total, three separate incidents were reported before 9:00 am.

A fourth incident was reported at 321 Main St, Union Station, where the man was said to have cornered a woman in an elevator and forcibly touched her.

The suspect, identified as Maung Aung, age 21 of Utica, was located by Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division officers on North Genesee St. Aung has since been charged with four counts of Forcible Touching.
