Hit-and-Run Incident Injures Child in East New York

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Tuesday, June 27, at approximately 4:20 pm, the New York City Police Department reported a hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Elton Street and Jamaica Avenue in East New York.

A Mercedes Benz C30, model with New York license plate LCG4431, hit a nine-year-old girl in the roadway.

The front seat passenger briefly exited the vehicle, only to re-enter upon seeing the child and then sped away west on Jamaica Avenue. The child was taken by EMS to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center and is in stable condition. The public’s assistance is sought in locating the involved vehicle.
