Hartford Police Department Investigates Death of Local Woman

HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Police Department is currently investigating the potential homicide of a woman in her 60s.

On Monday evening, officers were called to a residence on the 100 block of Oakland Terrace. At approximately 8 p.m., they arrived at the scene and discovered an injured man and a deceased woman.

The man, who had allegedly been attacked with a pistol in a domestic incident, was found with evident injuries. Nearby, officers located the woman who had been shot with a firearm.

A male suspect, found at the scene with a firearm, was arrested. Police are examining the possibility that the suspect and the victims were related. However, as of now, the identities of those involved have not been released.

This incident marks the 17th homicide in Hartford this year. The investigation is still ongoing. The Hartford Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
