Arrest Made in Durham Following Deadly Fight

DURHAM, NC – Early on Monday, local law enforcement responded to a fight on the 800 block of Angier Avenue. The Durham Police Department arrived shortly before 1:45 a.m. to find three men injured, two seriously, and one with minor injuries.

Two of the injured men were transported to a local hospital where one of the men, Ronnie Christopher Streeter, a 67-year-old resident of Durham, subsequently died. The police believe that the men were involved in a physical altercation that led to their injuries.

Clarence Winston III, 65, also of Durham, was arrested on the scene. He has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and felony assault on a disabled person. Winston III is currently being held at the Durham County Jail with no bond set.
