CAMDEN, NJ – Robert Giles, a 71-year-old resident of Collingswood, Camden County, pleaded guilty to possession of child [censored]ography.
The admission was made before Chief U.S. District Judge Renée Marie Bumb in Camden federal court.
On April 15, 2022, FBI agents executed a search warrant at Giles’s residence, discovering electronic devices with over 45,000 unique files containing explicit images and videos of children being sexually abused.
The charge of possession of child [censored]ography can result in a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000. Giles is set to be sentenced on Nov. 29.
Special agents of the FBI were recognized by U.S. Attorney Sellinger for their role in the investigation.
