One Dead in Shooting in Elizabeth

ELIZABETH, NJ – A burst of gunfire disrupted the early hours in Elizabeth, near North Broad Street and Magnolia, just before 3:30 a.m.

When Elizabeth Police arrived on the scene, they found a male from Somerset County gravely injured from bullet wounds to his head.

He was declared deceased shortly after the shooting.

As the Elizabeth Police worked on setting up a crime scene to investigate the motive behind the attack, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office has since taken over the investigation.

Presently, no other injuries have been reported from the incident.
