Traffic Stop in Brooklyn Park Leads to Weapons and Drug Charges

BROOKLYN PARK, MD – A routine traffic stop early on August 23 led to a discovery of a gun and drugs and subsequent arrest by Anne Arundel County Police.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., an officer pulled over a gray Toyota on Church Street near Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a .38 caliber handgun partially hidden near the steering wheel. Further investigation of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, eight capsules containing suspected heroin/fentanyl, and a digital scale.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Donald Eugene Henderson of Pasadena, Maryland, was arrested and charged. Henderson, who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms, now faces weapons and Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) violation charges.
