New York, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an assault inside Penn Station.
The incident occurred on Monday at the 34 Street-Penn Station subway station.
According to the report, a 60-year-old female on-duty MTA employee was approached by an unknown individual as she exited the service gate into the mezzanine of the station.
When the individual attempted to enter the service area and was stopped by the victim, he slapped her across the face with an open hand before fleeing. The victim was removed by EMS to NYU Langone Medical Center in stable condition.
The assailant is described as a male approximately 5’6″ tall with a medium complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a multicolored bucket hat, dark-colored jacket, and dark-colored pants, carrying a waist bag across his body.
