Passerby Thwarts Armed Robbery in the Bronx

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 25-year-old man was confronted at knifepoint by an unidentified male who attempted to rob him, but fled when a passerby intervened.

The incident took place on Wednesday, August 30, at approximately 4:05 PM at the corner of Walton Avenue and East 167 Street.

The unidentified male approached the victim and attempted to remove his property with a knife. A passerby stepped in, prompting the would-be robber to flee on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and medium build, aged between 20 and 30 years. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, and black and white sneakers.
