NYC Smoke Shop Clerk Shot At As He Tried to Hide from Armed Robbery Suspect

NEW YORK, NY – A 29-year-old male store employee at a Bronx smoke shop was the victim of an attempted armed robbery on East Tremont Avenue, ending with a gunshot into a wall but no injuries.

The incident took place at 3:23 p.m. inside a smoke shop located at 861 East Tremont Avenue. An unidentified individual entered the establishment, brandished a firearm, and demanded money from the clerk. The employee took cover, prompting the assailant to fire a shot into a wall before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

No property was taken from the store, and no injuries were reported following the incident. Authorities are actively seeking the unidentified individual and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
