Four Injured in Uptown Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC – Four individuals were injured in a shooting incident in uptown Charlotte early Monday morning.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that the shooting occurred near a row of restaurants and bars on North Tryon Street just before 2:30 a.m.

Officers initially responded to a call for an assault with a deadly weapon but found no victims at the scene.

They later learned that all four victims had taken themselves to a nearby hospital. Two have been released, while two remain in stable condition.

The area of North Tryon Street between 5th and 6th streets was closed for investigation. No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
