Teenager Fatally Shot in Allentown Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH, PA – An incident unfolded in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood when a 15-year-old boy was shot on Tuesday.

The incident took place at 10:43 a.m. on the 700 block of Excelsior Street. The teenager, who sustained a gunshot wound to the torso, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office later identified the deceased as Mohamed Hussein, a resident of Pittsburgh.

The shooting reportedly occurred on the property of Abiding Missions. Jordan Shoenberger, the executive director of the organization, expressed his distress to WTAE about the recurring violent incidents in the area.

As of now, no arrests related to the shooting have been made.
