BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – On September 15, Randy Manning, formerly of Englewood, NJ, was sentenced to life imprisonment in New Jersey State Prison. This comes after his conviction for the murder of Rhian Stoute in August 2011.

August 15, 2011, he shot Rhian Stoute to death in an empty house in Englewood. He later returned to the scene to set Stoute’s body on fire.

Manning then concealed the body in an SUV, which he abandoned in Paramus, NJ. During the investigation, key pieces of evidence were found in sewers in both Paramus and Brooklyn, New York.

After a six-week jury trial that concluded on June 7, Manning was found guilty of nine charges related to Stoute’s murder. These charges included murder, arson, desecration of human remains, and several weapons offenses.

The sentencing took place before the Honorable Gary N. Wilcox, J.S.C., in Bergen County Superior Court.
