NEW ORLEANS, LA – Floyd Robertson, 27, of Jefferson Parish, pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine and a substance containing both heroin and fentanyl. The guilty plea was entered on September 28, and sentencing is scheduled for January 4, 2024.
U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents conducted controlled drug purchases from Robertson on three separate occasions between February and June 2021. Robertson distributed more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and an amount of a mixture containing heroin and fentanyl during these transactions.
For the first three counts, Robertson faces a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of life imprisonment, a fine of up to $10 million, at least five years of supervised release, and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee per count. For the fourth count, the maximum penalty is 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million, at least three years of supervised release, and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.
