Newark Police Seek Fugitive Wanted for Burglary

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé has announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for Keith E. Johnson, 51, of Newark.

Johnson is suspected of burglarizing Sunshine Halal Restaurant on South Munn Avenue near South Orange Avenue on Monday, September 18.

Around 11:20 p.m., Johnson allegedly used pliers to breach the restaurant’s front entrance. Once inside, he is believed to have taken two cash registers containing roughly $700.

Director Fragé is asking the public to assist with any information regarding Johnson’s whereabouts.
