Family of Slain Pittsburgh Father Seeking Justice More Than A Year Later

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh Police, in collaboration with the family of Dennis Winger, 39, have made a public plea for leads concerning his murder that occurred on July 14, 2022.

Winger was discovered in an unresponsive state within a car at the crossroads of Vine Street and Fifth Avenue in the Crawford-Roberts neighborhood. He had sustained a gunshot injury and, despite being rushed to the hospital, was later declared dead.

The family emphasizes the importance of witnesses coming forward. Debbie, Winger’s mother, highlighted her son’s character, describing him as a dedicated father to his three daughters and someone who would extend help to anyone in distress.
