Teen Shot and Killed Friday in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ — Zahriya Moore, 19, succumbed to her injuries at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center following a shooting incident on Friday, November 3, as confirmed by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and the Paterson Police Department.

The shooting took place at approximately 2:43 p.m. in the area of East Holsman and North Bridge Streets. William Clyburn, 18, also of Paterson, was with Moore at the time of the shooting. He managed to flag down a police vehicle for help.

Clyburn himself had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. After receiving treatment at St. Joseph’s, he was released.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. As of now, further details about the incident or potential suspects have not been disclosed.

Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
