SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – A 42-year-old Melville man, whose name is withheld to protect the victim’s identity, has pleaded guilty to criminal sexual acts and related charges for sexually abusing his seven-year-old niece in August.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the plea, which spares the young victim from testifying in court. The abuse occurred on August 11, when the defendant was visiting his sister’s home.
