Dirty License Plate Among Numerous Charges for New York Larceny Suspect

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department has provided an update on a grand larceny case involving multiple suspects. As part of this ongoing investigation, detectives have arrested 33-year-old Oscar A. Duarte from Spokane, WA, for his involvement in the crime. The arrest took place on Wednesday, November 1.

Duarte, who resides at 4707 North Helena Street, is facing several charges including grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, operating an unregistered vehicle, using a dirty or covered license plate, and driving without a license.

This case pertains to an incident reported on Wednesday, October 11, where a 43-year-old male victim was approached by an individual in a black Mazda Sedan at the corner of 43rd and 214th Place. During this encounter, another individual stealthily removed $25,000 from the victim’s car.

The police are now seeking a second individual involved in this incident. This person is described as a male with a light complexion, aged approximately 20 to 30 years.
