Newark Police Seeking Fugitive Wanted for Halloween Murder

Newark, NJ — Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting incident on October 31st.

The incident occurred at around 2:46 p.m. near South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue. While no injuries were reported, the shooting resulted in property damage, and spent shell casings were found at the scene.

Police investigations revealed surveillance footage showing the suspect firing at a vehicle during the incident. The public is being urged to help identify the suspect.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers are confidential and could lead to a reward.
