BALTIMORE, MD – A simple errand run led a Baltimore retiree to a $30,000 Keno victory. On October 17, while filling up his gas tank at Millersville Crown, the man decided to try his luck with a $3 7-spot Keno bet, including the Super Bonus feature.

Though the winner typically favors jackpot games like Mega Millions and Powerball, this spontaneous Keno play resulted in a significant win. Unaware of his success, he checked the ticket later at home and discovered the substantial prize. The win was confirmed using the Maryland Lottery app and later validated at the gas station where the ticket was purchased.

The Baltimore man’s wife and stepdaughter played crucial roles in realizing and confirming the win. His stepdaughter noted his tendency to delay checking his tickets.

With the victory, the winner, who claimed his prize at Lottery Headquarters in Baltimore, remains undecided on how to utilize the winnings. The Anne Arundel County retailer, Millersville Crown, also benefits from this event, receiving a $300 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
