Durham Man Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in Shooting Death of Boy

DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department has charged 22-year-old John Carvajal Campos with involuntary manslaughter following a shooting that occurred early Sunday.

The incident took place in the 3500 block of Tri Center Boulevard, resulting in the death of a young boy who later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

Campos, a resident of Durham, is currently held under a $10,000 secured bond. The police have not released further details about the shooting but are seeking information from the public.
