NYPD Seeks Fugitive Wanted for Bronx Murder

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a homicide in the Bronx. The incident, which claimed the life of 61-year-old Tyrone Padilla, occurred early Friday morning, January 5, 2024, in the 46 Precinct area.

According to police reports, at around 1:20 AM, Padilla was pursued by an unidentified male into a building near Creston Avenue and East 184 Street. The assailant attacked Padilla, stabbing him twice in the neck and armpit. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving Padilla critically injured. Emergency services transported Padilla to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
