NYPD Hunts for Suspect in Harlem Hate Crime Incident

NEW YORK, NY – An assault occurred at the West 125th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue subway station in Harlem, where a male victim was attacked while taking photographs. The assailant, an unidentified male, made a biased statement before physically assaulting the victim, striking him multiple times in the face. The attacker subsequently fled on foot in an undetermined direction. The incident resulted in minor injuries for the victim.

The New York Police Department’s Hate Crime Task Force has taken charge of the investigation, treating the assault as a potential hate crime.

The assailant is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds, and believed to be about 25 years old. He was last observed wearing a black jacket. The police are seeking assistance from the public for any information that can lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspect.
