Bergen County Man Sentenced for Role in Fatal Drug Overdose

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – David Pezak, 35, formerly of Saddle Brook, Bergen County, has been sentenced for his involvement in a fatal drug overdose case in Pequannock Township.

On Friday, Pezak received a 10-year sentence in New Jersey State Prison for first-degree Strict Liability for Drug Induced Death, concurrent with a 5-year term for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

The case began on November 15, 2021, following the death of a female identified as A.C. from drug intoxication in Pequannock Township.

Investigations implicated Pezak in distributing the narcotics that led to A.C.’s death.

He faced multiple charges, including Conspiracy to Distribute and Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
