PATERSON, NJ – Officers Nigel Baskss and Ikmet Shej of the Paterson Police Department have been recognized as December Officers of the Month for their efforts in apprehending two armed suspects.
In December 2023, the officers responded to a report of suspicious individuals with weapons.
Upon arrival, they engaged in a foot pursuit with the fleeing suspects.
They successfully apprehended both and recovered a firearm.
The Paterson Police Department commended Officers Shej and Baskss for their bravery and commitment to ensuring the safety of the community.
