Four People Shot in Bridgeport Shooting, Vehicle Crash Reported

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Downtown Bridgeport witnessed a chaotic scene with a shooting and a subsequent motor vehicle accident at 12:50 p.m.

Police responding to the 1100 block of Main Street found a two-car accident. A 27-year-old Milford man, an occupant of one of the cars, was shot in the buttocks and is now in stable condition at a local hospital.

Additionally, a 29-year-old Naugatuck woman and a 57-year-old Naugatuck woman were hospitalized with injuries from the crash, also in stable condition.

A fourth victim, a 23-year-old Bridgeport man, walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, believed to be connected to the Main Street incident. He is currently in the intensive care unit.

Bridgeport Police have identified and located a vehicle linked to the crime. Detective Kevin Cronin is leading the investigation, and any information regarding this incident can be reported to him at 203-581-5292.
