Bronx Man Charged for Purse Snatching in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department arrested Jose Hernandez, 27, from the Bronx, for stealing a woman’s purse.

On Thursday, Officer Francis Malloy was alerted by a citizen, and with the help of the victim and another citizen, Officer Kyle Bender apprehended Hernandez.

He was found with the victim’s belongings and an active arrest warrant.

Hernandez faces theft charges and is currently detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is asked to provide any additional information about this incident to the Atlantic City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit.
