NYPD Chief Chaplain Busted for DWI in Queens

New York, NY – In the early hours of Saturday, George Anastasiou, a 48-year-old NYPD Chaplain, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The arrest took place at 1:43 AM within the 109th Precinct in Queens.

Anastasiou is now facing DWI charges following the incident. Further details surrounding the arrest have not been disclosed.

Anastasiou serves as an NYPD Deputy Police Chaplain. He was promoted in December of 2022. He is also the presiding priest of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Whitestone, Queens.
