Fair Lawn, NJ – The Fair Lawn Police Department has issued a comprehensive advisory to residents in anticipation of severe weather conditions, emphasizing the importance of adherence to snow emergency regulations to ensure public safety and efficient emergency response.

Fair Lawn public schools have been closed as a precautionary measure.

The department also reminded residents that they should not be contacted for power outages, directing residents to contact PSEG directly for such issues.

The department urges the removal of vehicles from snow emergency streets to avoid the risk of tickets and towing, emphasizing the importance of keeping these routes clear for emergency vehicles. For vehicles on non-emergency streets, tickets will still be issued.

Residents are encouraged to consult the borough website for detailed information on designated emergency streets. The police also request the public’s assistance in clearing snow around fire hydrants and crosswalks to maintain access for emergency services.
