16-Year-Old Girl Arrested in Connection with Madison Avenue Robbery

New York, NY – The New York City Police Department reported the arrest of a 16-year-old female in connection with a robbery that occurred on Madison Avenue and East 75th Street.

On Sunday, February 4, at around 3:00 PM, a 24-year-old woman was attacked by two unknown assailants who forcibly took her cellphone after placing her in a headlock and pulling her hair. The victim was forced to the ground before the attackers attempted to steal additional property.

The assailants fled the scene on foot after the victim escaped into a nearby building, where a doorman intervened and forced the attackers away. The victim, who refused medical attention, had managed to flee into safety following the ordeal.

The police launched an investigation into the incident, leading to the arrest of one of the suspects.

On Thursday, February 15, at 1:50 AM, the 16-year-old suspect was apprehended by police within the 19th Precinct. She has been charged with robbery in connection to the attack.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing as authorities continue to seek further information regarding the second suspect involved in the robbery.
