Cumberland, MD – Cumberland City Police arrested Charles Jeffrey Toles, 44, of Centerville, VA, following a reported assault at a Lamont Street residence on February 28.
The incident, which originated from an argument within the home, escalated into a physical confrontation where the victim was struck multiple times in the face with a closed fist, resulting in visible injuries. In addition to the assault charges, Toles was served with a Criminal Summons for a prior incident on February 24 at the same location, where he allegedly broke a window.
Following his arrest, Toles was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and destruction of property. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center and is being held without bond.
