WASHINGTON, DC – A search is underway for a suspect involved in a Southeast shooting, as reported by D.C. Metro Police Department’s Seventh District. The incident occurred on the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast, sparking a major investigation.

On Monday, at 8:30 p.m., officers were called to Elvans Road following a shooting report. They found an adult female with a gunshot wound, who was promptly taken to a local hospital.

Authorities have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying them.
