D.C. Police Discover Man Fatally Shot Early Saturday Morning

Washington, D.C. – A homicide investigation is underway following a fatal shooting in Southeast. The incident occurred early Saturday morning.

A Seventh District officer found a vehicle parked on the sidewalk at Stanton Road and Mississippi Avenue intersection at 4:12 AM. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the officer discovered an adult male, later identified as 35-year-old Christian Elsberry from Clinton, MD, unconscious with gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS declared him deceased at the scene.
