Memorial Service Announced for Late Burlington Detective

BURLINGTON, NJ – The Burlington City Police Department has announced a memorial service for the late Detective Frederick (Fred) Janson, who passed away in December 2023. The service will be held this Saturday, April 20th, from 9 AM to 11 AM at Lyceum Hall, located at 432 High Street in Burlington.

Detective Janson, who retired in 1997 with badge number 9026, was a prominent figure in the Burlington community, becoming a household name both during and after his distinguished career. The police department and community remember him as a legendary figure, whose contributions have left a lasting impact.

The Burlington City Police Department extends its sincere condolences to the friends and family of Detective Janson. Members of the community are invited to join in commemorating his life and contributions to public service.
