On Saturday, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department enforced an Arrest Warrant for Joseph Howard Greenhawk following his failure to appear for trial. The warrant was issued by the District Court stemming from a 2023 case. Joseph was brought before a District Court Commissioner and later released on his own recognizance.
On the same day at around 10:20 pm, police responded to a property destruction incident on Baltimore Avenue, later identifying Dakota Miller as the suspect. Subsequently, officers were called to Reynolds Street regarding a disturbance caused by Dakota. It was revealed that Dakota triggered a false fire alarm with no legitimate basis, leading to his arrest. He, too, was presented before a District Court Commissioner, ultimately being released on his own recognizance.
The two individuals arrested were Joseph Howard Greenhawk, aged 53 from Cumberland, Maryland, for Failure to Appear, and Dakota Thomas Miller, aged 27 from Cumberland, Maryland, facing charges of Destruction of Property, False Fire Alarm, Intentional False Alarm, Disturbing the Peace, and Disorderly Conduct.
